Montessori School Year

Thank you for considering Lefferts Gardens Montessori for these remarkable years of your 2-6 year old child's life. Our Montessori year runs from September to June, Monday through Friday. (For hours, click on the Schedules tab below.)

Please note: Lefferts Gardens Montessori does not have kitchen facilities. Parents must provide lunch and snacks for their children.

We offer four schedules:

Title Hours
Full Day 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Early Bird 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Extended Day 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Early-Extended 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

For your convenience, applications for admissions to Lefferts Gardens Montessori School year are accepted year round. We accept new students as long as there is space in one of our classes.

The first month's tuition (see the Tuition tab) and the application fees (see the Fees tab) are due with the Enrollment Packet. (Click on the Forms tab above to print an application.)

Children must be between the ages of 2-6 years and all children must be capable of self-propulsion!

Tuition Payments
Tuition payments depend upon the program and the payment plan selected. (See the table below.) The first month's tuition and, for children new to LGM, the application fees are due with the Enrollment Packet (see the Fees tab and the Forms tab.)

To make tuition payments with your credit card, follow these instructions:

  1. Determine your child's tuition payment amount using the table below.
  2. When you click the Pay Now button, you will be taken to the Paypal Website, but you DO NOT need to have a PayPal account to use your credit card.
  3. At the top of that page, enter your tuition payment and click Update Totals.
  4. On the LOWER LEFT SIDE of the page, look for the credit card instruction to Continue. You DO NOT need to log into PayPal.
  5. Follow the remainder of the PayPal instructions.

Sibling Discount
There is a discount of 5% of the annual tuition for each additional child.

Subsidized Tuition
For some families, New York City and the US Department of Health & Human Services will subsidize tuition through the Child Care Program administered by the NYC Administration for Children's Services (ACS).

The following one-time fees for children new to LGM are payable at the time of the new student's enrollment along with the first month's tuition (see the Tuition tab.)

Credit Card Authorization Form You may charge tuition and other fees online by clicking on the Tuition tab above. Alternatively you may bring a completed Credit Card Authorization Form to school.

New Students

Title Description
Enrollment Application for New Students This is an enrollment packet for new students. Applications for admissions to Lefferts Gardens Montessori School year are accepted year round as long as there is space in one of our classes. Please submit with your deposit.
Medical Requirements for New Students This PDF file lists the Office of School Health's medical requirements for new student entrants. "The Office of School Health (OSH) is a joint program of the Department of Education and the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. Its mission is to promote the health of the 1.3 million schoolchildren enrolled in approximately 1,800 public and non-public schools in New York City."
Medical Examination Form for New Students Every new student is required to have a medical exam. This form is required by the NYC Office of School Health.

Enrollment Application for Continuing Students This is an enrollment application for returning students. Please return the completed packet and your deposit ASAP. Please note: We can not guarantee a space for your child if this packet is received after April 1, 2008.
